June Events

I linked the June calendar to my blog. there are a lot of fun things happening at CT in June.

1) Picnic - June 9 
I need to bring a food item to share.

2) Graduation - June ll 
I will be graduating with Sydney, Ryan, Andrew, Jamie and a few others. 

3) Special Event - June 13
We will be going to Lake Padden to play games. The Leisure class planned some fun things. 

Spring Equinox

Match 20, 2014 is the Spring Equinox. It is happening at 9:57 AM. On the equinox, night and day are the same length worldwide.

The March equinox occurs the moment the sun crosses the celestial equator.

   

TRACK SEASON

Special Olympics Track is starting on Tuesday. Practice is from 12:45 - 1:45 I will stretch, do shot put and do the standing long jump. We will take the vans to Civic Field.

   

We learned about the website www.kinooze.com.  It is a news website.  I learned about Indus Valley Civilization and Ancient Egypt.

Valentine Day

On February 14th, many people exchange cards, gifts or flowers special valentine. The day of romance, we call Valentine's Day, is named after a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia.

New Semester

I will work at Appliance Depot for my new job.  So far I learned how to clean. I will learn more skills as the 
year progresses. I am nervous and excited. for other tasks, I have News2You Monday to Wednesday,
Basketball on Monday and YMCA on Thursday.  

Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a black man fought peacefully for equal rights for all people. He gave speeches,
led rallies and inspired others to join his fight for civil rights. He was awarded  the Nobel peace Prize for
his work.
